UPDATE: The local rivers are still quite cold and there is lots of water in the system. The flows are 1500 (main stem) so they are very fishable but some areas are washed out. We are still fishing nymphs exclusively. Very mild temps the next week, steady low 60s will keep things progressing. Some rain in forecast, just enough to maintain water levels. Please Call 518-946-2217 or email [email protected] for guide inquiries. Thank you and see you soon!

Fishing Outlook: Still fishing nymphs and streamers on most rivers in the region with some dry fly activity coming to life on the Chateaugay, Salmon and Chazy. Saranac should be any day now as well. Peak season is about to pop off in the ADK and ide have a variety of dry flies ready and your hatch specific flies in tow. Quill Gordon, Hendricksons, and Grannom Caddis will be first to hatch. Always be ready for decent spinner falls for the Hendrickson hatch. They don’t always come to fruition but when they do its the best nights of the year. Ide expect fishing mostly nymphs and streamers for the time being.
