Prior to your trip your guide will be in touch to discuss the fine details of your trip and fine tune the day around your requests. Interested in fine tuning your skills or learning new tactics? Looking for the best hatches? First time in the Adirondacks fly fishing? Introducing a family member to fly fishing? Your guide will be able to tailor your trip specific to your needs and abilities to ensure you have the most productive experience possible during your outing.

What's Included?

  • Introductions to the equipment, river conditions, hatches and techniques to advance your ability as an angler
  • Your dedicated and experienced Adirondack fly fishing guide.
  • Training, tips and tactics from your guide throughout the day to help increase your experience and skill level
  • Flies are not included in your trip, our guides are happy to pre-select a small assortment for you based on the current fishing conditions. In the event you need more during the day, the guides are all well prepared.
  • Gear rental is available on-site
  • We can run trips at a time to suits you. However we prefer that you ask the guides for the best fishing times and take their advice for best fishing times.
  • Choose your desired tactic, or leave it to your guide based on the conditions, or learn a new one!
  • Easy to fit in for a morning or afternoon leaving the rest of the day for family, friends, or more fishing!
  • Whatever your skill level, your health, or your goals, our guides can provide the fun, educational, and memorable Adirondack experience you are looking for.

Cancelation Policy:

  • The Hungry Trout has a strict two week cancelation policy. Outside of the two week window there is no penalty for cancelations or rescheduling.
  • Any cancelation or rescheduled trip within two weeks of the secured booking will forfeit the entire cost of the guide fee.
