Hungry Trout Fly Shop

The Emerging Anglers Youth Initiative empowers the next generation to connect with nature through fly fishing, fostering lifelong skills, environmental stewardship, and a passion for conserving local watersheds and aquatic ecosystems

The Emerging Anglers Youth Initiative at the Hungry Trout Fly Shop inspires school-age kids to explore the art of fly fishing while fostering a deep connection to nature. Through hands-on lessons and fun activities, young anglers learn essential fishing skills, the importance of conservation, and how to protect local watersheds for future generations.

The Emerging Anglers Youth Initiative is currently offered free of charge to participants at local schools and organizations. This program is designed to make the sport of fly fishing and environmental education accessible to all, regardless of financial barriers. By partnering with schools, youth groups, and community organizations, we aim to inspire young people to develop a love for the outdoors, learn valuable skills, and become stewards of their local watersheds—all at no cost to participants.
